Resumé of Liz DeLibero, M.Ed.
Elizabeth De Libero is an Educational Consultant at the Wildwood Institute who has been with Wildwood Programs for ten years. She specializes in working with children with a variety of disabilities and challenging behaviors. Ms. De Libero offers hands-on consultative services to education professionals in school settings, helping families and schools work together in the best interest of the student.
Ms. De Libero holds a BS in Special Education from East Carolina University, a Master's Degree in Reading from SUNY Cortland, and permanent New York State Certification in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Reading. She has also received additional training in the area of autism spectrum disorders through the University at Albany.
Ms. De Libero has a wide range of experiences teaching students with emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. She has taught in a variety of educational settings including self contained classrooms, resource rooms and inclusive classrooms.
In addition to her consulting role with the Wildwood Institute, Ms. De Libero currently serves as the learning disabilities consultant to the TRIO program at Schenectady County Community College.
Ms. De Libero is available to provide individual and group trainings and hasexpertise in the following areas:
- Functional Behavioral Assessments and development of behavior support plans
- Differentiated Instruction and Curriculum modification
- Development of IEP goals based on NY State Standards
- Curriculum Based Assessment and Academic Assessments including formal and informal measures
- Assisting educators in providing ELA instruction based on current research.
- Paraprofessional training including on-site coaching
- Collaboration with families; liaison between home and school
