Residential Counselors
Department: Residential
Location: Locations throughout the Capital District
Status: Full-time (Overnight, evening and weekend shifts required)
We are looking for dynamic individuals who help to promote independence, self-esteem and community integration in people's lives. Residential Counselors work in a supportive team environment with other Residential Counselors. This is a great position to grow in - we provide full training, certifications and opportunities throughout the Capital District, including Ballston Spa. Candidates should be able to work independently and have strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED and three months related experience and/or training with people with disabilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Daily access to an automobile, valid NYS driver's license and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Department: Occupational Therapy Department, Wildwood School
Location: Schenectady
Status: Part-time, 2 days a week
Administers Occupational Therapy services in conjunction with the Occupational Therapist in the school or community setting for physically, developmentally, mentally or emotionally disabled clients.
Requirements: Associate's degree (A. A.S.) from a two year college or university and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. New York State Occupation Therapy Assistant License
AOTCB Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (Recommended)
Community Support Team Counselor
Department: Residential
Location: Office based out of Latham
Status: Full-time (Evenings, Weekends and Holidays)
We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as Community Support Team Counselor. This is a great position to develop counseling skills in we provide full training and certifications! The CSTC acts as teacher, bridge-builder and supporter to consumers in assisting their meaningful participation in community living. Candidates should be able to work independently and have strong interpersonal skills. Significant daily travel to program participants apartments is involved. Requirements: High school diploma/GED; and three months related experience and/or training with people with disabilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Daily access to an automobile, valid NYS drivers license and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
Director of Facilities
Department: Facilities/Maintenance
Location: Schenectady
Status: Exempt, Full-time with Benefits
Plans and coordinates work of the facilities department and maintains facilities for individual and group programs at school, recreational facilities, buildings and residential sites. Supervises a total of 9-12 employees in maintenance and custodial operations.
Requirements: Masters Degree (MA) or equivalent; or six years related facilities or environmental planning experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.

Registered Nurse
Department: Recreation
Location: Varies
Status: Part-time for trips and outings
The nurse will accompany groups of individuals on recreational outings including overnight trips. This person will be responsible for medication administration and will act as a recreational aide at times. The hours are dependent on recreational trip dates and other recreational activities on an as needed basis.
Requirements: NYS License as a Registered Nurse with two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Social Worker, Residential
Department: Residential
Location: Based out of Latham
Status: Full-time
Individual will: Provides individual and group counseling to residents and their families on a regular basis and during crisis situations. Will communicate regularly with and between family members and residence staff. Participates and provides clinical input in the development of individualized program plans. Assists residents in providing input into their own individualized program plans.
Requirements: Master's degree (MSW) or equivalent; three years experience and/or training
Speech Pathologist
Department: Speech and Language
Location: Schenectady/ Altamont
Status: Full-time, Temporary
Summary: Works in a special education school environment to provide individual and group therapy in the areas of speech and language development according to individualized education plans. Also provides classroom push-in support and works collaboratively within a transdisciplinary team approach. This position is a temporary full-time position from now until August.
Requirments: Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology preferred; NYS professional licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred; Bachelors degree in Speech/Language Pathology with NYS teaching certification required; Clinical Fellowship Year opportunity available.
Substitute Teaching Assistants
Department: Wildwood School
Location: Schenectady and/or Albany
Status: Part-time, Per Diem
Come make a difference in the lives of students' ages 3-21 with developmental disabilities at Wildwood School. Perform instructional, clerical and non-instructional tasks to students. Hours are 8:30-2:30pm, school calendar. Work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent teaching assistants. Subs are called on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED and valid NYS driver's license are required.
