The Renee Beebe Endowment
Renee Beebe was a Wildwood student in the Young Adult Program who passed away suddenly before her graduation. She loved music and the arts and her family chose to celebrate her life by providing financial support to our arts-in-education program. Thanks to their generosity, we will be having a special event every year in her memory.
2002 - Mardis Gras Festival - Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers
This festival was our First Annual Renee Beebe Memorial Arts-in-Education event. On Friday, February 8, 2002 we congregated in the gym dressed in masks and beads made by the students in art class. Each unit decorated a float that was featured in the parade led by Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers. The parade ended in the cafeteria where awards were given and the party commenced! The party which featured an hour long concert by Captain Squeeze and the Zydeco Moshers, followed by refreshments served in the classrooms.

2005 - Pennies From Heaven
On June 15, 2005, Ruth Pelham of the Music Mobile came to teach our students songs from her CD "Room For Us All" a Musical Celebration of Peace and Compassion. During this concert we presented her with a check for $400.00 that the students fundraised in support of the Friends of Sri Lanka Fund established by Ruth to help her friends in Hambantota, Sri Lanka rebuild their village destroyed by the Tsunami in December of 2004.
The money raised by Wildwood School will be used to purchase 12 stoves for the women in refugee camps so that they can once again cook for their families.
